Amanda Scott serves as a Senior Associate at Frost Law, where her practice centers on U.S. international tax matters affecting high-net-worth individuals, business owners, investors, and privately held companies. She counsels clients on the U.S. tax implications of cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, investments, and other inbound and outbound matters. Much of her work involves clients whose businesses, assets, or ownership interests extend across multiple jurisdictions, and she helps them navigate the individual and business tax issues that arise from operating and investing internationally.

Over the course of her career, Amanda has counseled U.S. and foreign clients on a broad array of international tax matters, including foreign corporations and partnerships, foreign trusts, tax treaties, foreign tax credits, cross-border ownership structures, and international reporting obligations. Her work spans both transactional planning and ongoing compliance, with a particular interest in helping founders, business owners, and families understand how a transaction’s tax consequences ripple into their broader investment and wealth planning.

Amanda’s path to Frost Law included roles in international tax at Baker Tilly, Anchin, and PwC, where she advised individuals and businesses on complex U.S. international tax questions. That background informs a practical, grounded approach to evaluating cross-border structures and transactions. She collaborates closely with clients and their legal, accounting, and financial advisors, balancing the immediate tax questions a transaction presents with the client’s longer-term goals.

She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law, along with undergraduate degrees in Public Policy and Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
